Today in Science I learned that the National Space Station was not launched from Earth. instead, its pieces where launched into space a few at a time and assembled there. It was put together in space by men and their spacecraft.
In PE I watched Iron Man 2. In this movie one of the problems is that the Iron Man suffered an injury that caused shards of metal to become lodged in his chest, threatening to damage his internal organs. The device that is keeping him alive by stopping the metal from reaching his heart, is also killing him by putting toxins in his blood. As a side benefit, the life-saving device also acts as a wicked awesome power generator. I was able to finish 18 laps on the elliptical today.
I also learned how to tune my violin without my tuner or my music teacher doing it for me during music class. My dad showed me a video on how to tune my instrument using an iPad app.
I am also reading a book called, Wings of Fire. It is about a land of dragons, where the kingdoms are at war. They are fighting because three dragons are royalty and they couldn’t decide on which one would be the new queen. I’m not too far into the book, but I like it.
